My interest in blacksmithing began when I was 14 years old and I built my first sword. When I was in my early 20's I wanted to make woodworking tools and found that I was more interested in making the tools rather than woodworking. I studied with Alex Weygers in Carmel Valley, CA in 1980. Since then I have worked with several artist blacksmiths and in 1993 co-founded Ironwood Forge with Nikolai Pakhomov in Clinton, MD along with Chris Shay joining our team in 1998. Our focus was high-end architectural metal work and furniture with an emphasis on original design. In 2004 my family moved to Maine where I have been continuing to accept private commissions. I am currently offering my skills in design and fabrication to you as a client. I look forward to working with you!
